Overview
of the Closing Process -- Introduction
Congratulations!
You found a buyer for your property. You accepted an
offer and the buyer has qualified for a mortgage.
You are 90% of the way toward completing the sale of your
property. The final
step in your transaction is called the closing the meeting
in which the buyer's loan proceeds are issued, the mortgage is finalized,
and the buyer takes ownership of the property.
The
closing is conducted by our Closing Agent. We will be scheduling
the closing for a time and place that is acceptable to you, the
seller, and any brokers involved.
There are many things we will be doing to prepare for your
closing. Some of these
things require your cooperation, and we have prepared a list of
information we need from you and a list of things you need to do.
The
weeks before a closing can be a hectic time for both you and the
buyer. Your timely
cooperation in providing information to us will go a long way toward
ensuring that the process is a smooth and enjoyable experience for
all involved.
