At the Closing

The moving van is packed and your new house is waiting.  The last thing you need to do is attend the closing.  You have probably been there before and remember it well.  Be patient -- this could be your buyer's first purchase and it may take some time for all the documents to be signed. 

Please be sure you arrive before the scheduled closing time and that you have everything you were required to bring.  If you have any documents that you were required to bring to the closing, give them to the closing agent at the start.  

As you may know, the closing is a fairly informal process.  The closing agent or an assistant will explain to you each document you need to sign so that you have a clear understanding of the documentation.  If you have your own attorney with you, your attorney may take on this task.  If you have any questions, ask now.
