Overview of the Closing Process -- Introduction

Congratulations!  You have found a home to purchase, had your offer accepted, and qualified for a mortgage loan.  You are 90% of the way into your new home.  The final step in your transaction is called the closing – the meeting where your loan proceeds are issued, your mortgage is finalized, and you take ownership of your new home.  

The closing is conducted by our Closing Agent. We will be scheduling the closing for a time and place that is acceptable to you, the seller, and any brokers involved. There are many things we will be doing to prepare for your closing. Some of these things require your cooperation, and we have prepared a list of information we need from you and a list of things you need to do.

The weeks before a closing can be a hectic time for both you and the seller.  Your timely cooperation in providing information to us will go a long way toward ensuring that the process is a smooth and enjoyable experience for all involved.
